70. MEAT CAULDRONS

Before you begin:

Kitchens can be dangerous so make sure you have just read the Kitchen Safety Checklist.
Check with Mum or Dad that you are allowed to cook.
So the food doesn’t get any germs wash your hands with warm soapy water and dry them well.
Read the recipe through before you begin and get out all the equipment and ingredients you will need.
Don’t forget to have fun, and the best cooks ALWAYS clean up their mess.

Here’s what you need:
• 6 tortillas cut into halves
• Spray oil
• 2 teaspoons oil
• 500g minced beef
• 35 g packet taco seasoning
• 3/4 cup water
• 300g can Edgell Red Kidney Beans, drained
• 125g can Edgell Diced Capsicum, drained
• Grated cheese for serving
• Sour cream for serving

Here’s how to do it:
1. Shape tortillas into a cone and secure with a toothpick. Spray with oil and place onto an oven tray. Bake in a preheated oven for 10 minutes or until crisp.
2. While tortillas are cooking heat oil in a large frying pan, add minced beef and cook until browned. Stir in taco seasoning, water, Edgell Red Kidney Beans and Diced Capsicum and simmer for 10 minutes.
3. Spoon meat filling into the cooked tortilla cones: serve with grated cheese and sour cream.

Setting Up Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time:
20 minutes

HOT TIP: Chicken mince can be substituted for the minced beef.
