4. GOLDEN CORN CUPS

Before you begin:
Kitchens can be dangerous so make sure you have just read the Kitchen Safety Checklist.
Check with Mum or Dad that you are allowed to cook.
So the food doesn’t get any germs wash your hands with warm soapy water and dry them well.
Read the recipe through before you begin and get out all the equipment and ingredients you will need.
Don’t forget to have fun, and the best cooks ALWAYS clean up their mess.

Makes: 24

Ingredients:

• 24 slices white sandwich bread
• 310g can Edgell Creamed Corn
• 3 rashers bacon, finely chopped
• 2 eggs, lightly beaten
• 1/4 cup cream or milk
• 1/2 cup grated tasty cheese

Here’s how to do it:
1. Cut crusts from bread and discard. Using a rolling pin lightly roll each bread slice to flatten. Gently press each bread slice into greased patty pans to form a ‘cup’.
2. Mix together Edgell Creamed Corn, bacon, eggs and cream or milk. Spoon 1 tablespoon of mixture into each ‘cup’. Sprinkle with cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.
