BUTTERFLY CAKES
Before you begin:

Kitchens

with Mum or Dad that you are allowed to cook. |

So
the food doesn’t get any germs wash your hands with
warm soapy water and dry them well. |

Read
the recipe through before you begin and get out all
the equipment and ingredients you will need. |

Dont
forget to have fun, and the best cooks ALWAYS clean up
their mess. |
Makes: 24
Heres what you need:
125g butter, softened
1/2 cup caster sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups self-raising flour, sifted
170g can John West Passionfruit
in Syrup
1 tablespoon milk
Icing:
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
30g butter, melted
1 tablespoon milk
Yellow food colouring
Butterfly sprinkles
Heres how to do it:

Using
an electric mixer, cream butter and caster sugar until
light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. |

Stir
in sifted flour, John West
Passionfruit in Syrup and milk. Spoon the mixture
into paper case-lined mini muffin pans filling approximately
3/4 full. |

Bake
in a preheated oven at 180:C for 15 minutes. When
cooked allow to stand for 5 minutes before turning
out onto a wire rack to cool. |

To
make icing: In a medium bowl mix all icing ingredients
together. Add 1-2 drops of yellow food colouring and
stir well. Spread icing on cakes and top with butterfly
sprinkles. |
