75. Sticky Chicken Wings
 


Before you begin:

Kitchens can be dangerous so make sure you have just read the Kitchen Safety Checklist.
Check with Mum or Dad that you are allowed to cook.
So the food doesn’t get any germs, wash your hands with warm soapy water and dry them well.
Read the recipe through before you begin and get out all the equipment and ingredients you will need.
Don’t forget to have fun, and the best cooks ALWAYS clean up their mess.

Here’s what you use
• tablespoon measure set
• cup measure set
• large bowl
• dessertspoon
• gloves
• deep baking dish
• oven mitts
• tongs

Here’s what you need
• 1 x 140g tub of Leggo’s Tomato
   Paste

• 1/4 cup soy sauce
• 1/4 cup honey
• 1 kg chicken wings
• Spray oil



Here’s how to do it

Step 1
Turn oven on to 200°C to preheat.

 
Step 2
Spoon Leggo’s Tomato Paste into a large bowl; add soy sauce and honey and mix with a dessertspoon to combine. Add the chicken wings and toss them in the marinade until they are well coated.

 
Step 3
Lightly grease a large baking dish with spray oil. Place the coated chicken wings in the deep baking dish and cook in a preheated oven at 200°C for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and place baking dish onto a heatproof mat. Turn the chicken wings with a pair of tongs and return to the oven for a further 20 minutes.

Remove from the oven and serve.

 
 

Makes: 12 wings

Setting Up Time: 6 minutes

Cooking Time: 40 minutes

HOT TIP: Marinade the wings in the refrigerator overnight for a more developed flavour.
